Prayer Ministry

The Bible has much to say about prayer and praying for others.  As Christians in obedience to God, we are called to pray for others - to carry one another’s burdens.  The Prayer Ministry of First Methodist Church was created to do just this – lift our brothers and sisters in prayer.  The Prayer Team members consider it a privilege to pray for those in need and do so regularly in our beautiful prayer room located down the hallway leading to the Sanctuary.

Our Prayer Team Ministry uses text messaging to keep a nearly 24/7 vigil of prayer needs and changes in medical needs in particular. They also send out prayer cards with church member’s names to raise in prayer.

A prayer bulletin board is located in the Church Office to track the names of those in need of prayer as well as having these names (with permission) printed in our Order of Worship on Sunday.
