"Cross and Flame"
Time: 9:30-10:30
Ages: 20's and 30's
Place: main classroom hallway nearest to the sanctuary
Description: The purpose of this class is to develop modern disciples of Christ by drawing from our rich Methodist heritage using multi-media presentations and discussion of various topics. This class experiences fellowship through social events and mission activities.
"Singles and Doubles"
Time: 9:30-10:30
Ages: 30s and 40s
Place: office hallway nearest the glass doors
Description: Taught by Homer Purtle and others, this class uses a discussion format to address biblical themes. The class has many social events through the year and is involved with many service projects. This class is a lot of fun and invites you to visit.
"2x2 Class"
Time: 9:15-10:15
Ages: 50s and 60s
Place: main classroom hallway
Description: Taught by different class members and guest speakers, the class uses a Bible-based lesson to address issues of Christian living. The class hosts social events throughout the year and is active in missions supporting the Methodist Children's Home, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and the church's prayer blanket ministry.
"The Living Water Class"
Time: 9:15-10:00
Ages: all ages
Place: main classroom hallway nearest the Fellowship Hall
Description: This class was formed mainly to accomidate choir members who need to leave Sunday school early to prepare for worship, but any one is welcome to attend. The class studies a variety of book-based topics.
"The Builders Class"
Time: 9:15-10:15
Ages: 60s+
Place: main classroom hallway across from the Wesley Room
Description: This is FUMC's largest class with almost 60 members. Teaching responsibilities rotate throughout the month, using Bible-based lessons to address issues of Christian living. The class has a lively social schedule and is heavily involved in many mission projects.
"Gold Star Class"
Time: 9:15-10:15
Ages: 70s+
Place: main classroom hallway
Description: Taught by our Associate Pastor, this class served the oldest members of the congregation with excellent Bible-based lessons. They love to sing and visit, and they are highly interested in serving the church in a variety of ways. They also sponsor the church's Cub Scout Pack.
