Building the Kingdom of God Through Following Jesus Christ

SUNDAY SCHOOL - 9:15-10:15
Children's Building
Bring the kids to Sunday School! We offer classes for all ages starting at pre-K through the 6th Grade. Please know that your child will be loved and cared for by their teachers. Join us on Sunday and see what a difference just one hour of Christian fellowship can mean to your child!
Nursery – Located next to the Fellowship Hall
Infants and toddlers are lovingly cared for by our Nursery Staff. There is always a First Aid/CPR trained worker in the Nursery.
Children's Sunday School
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock." (Matthew 7:24–25)
At each age level on every Sunday the children will be invited to a faith experience. It is during this time that they can come to a better understanding of God and what God calls them to do and be. They come to know Jesus as the Son of God and take his messages to heart. Activities, crafts, stories, and games will contribute to this faith experience. At the end of the time together, the children will have had a chance to meet God and to open themselves for a life-changing transformation.
Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,

On most Sundays, children from pre-K to 2nd grade are invited to go to children’s church after children’s moments in 10:30 worship. Children are always welcome to stay in worship with parents, but "children's church" offers an optional way for the youngest people to engage in worship in a way that fits their age.  Adult leaders help the kids connect with God through stories, games, songs, and crafts.  Parents must pick children up after worship in the Children's Building.

Wednesday evening ministry (during the school year) for
Pre-K - 6th grades in the
Children's Building
5:30 - 7:30
In this weekly event, children learn about Jesus and about living the Christian life.  They have fun, play games, learn about the Bible, and make things.

The word "acolyte" comes from the Greek akoleuthos which means "to follow." An acolyte is a follower of Jesus Christ who assists in public worship. Our acolytes light candles and perform other services as requested by the pastors. Acolytes are in grades 3 through 6. Acolytes serve at the 10:30 sanctuary service.  Kelly Woodard is our adult volunteer.

Confirmation Class
It is our tradition that our 6th graders join together as a Confirmation Class during each school year.

Summer Activities
M.A.D. Camp - MAD stand for music, arts, and drama - we invite professional adult leaders to help children produce and present a musical program.  All the children in the community are invited to participate.
Summer Camp at Caney Methodist Camp here in Minden
Vacation Bible School - all kids are invited to participate in this week-long program of fun and learning during the last week of July (Mon-Thurs nights).
"...for the kingdom of God belongs to those such as these." - Mark 10:14
